I took Li’l T to the Kennedy Center for an open house and multicultural book fair. The Open House was dedicated to Mexico in commemoration of the country’s 200th anniversary.
There were free performances throughout the building and in a courtyard area.
And the center had such beautiful decorations.
Li’l T and I got off to a late start because he didn’t take his morning nap and compensated by taking a longer afternoon nap. Then we got stuck in traffic because a car had caught on fire. :-
It was fun though getting out with him and walking around.
I saw so many books at the book fair but since everything was full price I only bought one book, Jazz Baby. The rest I made note of and will pick up elsewhere.
Although I like the Kennedy Center, the $20 parking fee is ATROCIOUS! Normally I would just take the metro out there and catch the shuttle but with Li’l T I wanted us to be able to come and go as we pleased. And I had a feeling that we were have had a long trip since there was another large event going on in the city.
